This policy explains how AF Jewels handles your personal data in the customer application, in plain language aligned with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable Indian law.
Data we collect. We collect only the data we need to serve you: your name and registered mobile number; your 4-digit PIN, stored only as an irreversible hash; purchase, sell-back, and safekeeping transaction records; bank account details for sell-back payouts; KYC documents where required; and basic device/technical data needed to run and secure the application.
Purpose limitation. We use your data only to execute purchases, sell-backs and safekeeping records; comply with legal obligations; verify your bank account; secure the application against fraud; and send service communications about your own transactions.
No sale of data. AF Jewels does not sell your personal data to any third party, and does not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with. Only as strictly needed: KYC verification agencies, payment providers and banks, independent auditors, and government authorities where the law requires.
Security. Data is transmitted encrypted over HTTPS. PINs are stored as bcrypt hashes and never in plain text. Administrative access is restricted to personnel who need it.
Retention. We retain KYC and transaction records for at least the period required by tax and anti-money-laundering law. Other data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, or until you validly request erasure.
Your rights. You may access, correct, or request erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent for future processing, and raise a grievance. To exercise these rights, e-mail Support@afjewels.in or use the in-app Grievances feature.
Children. The application is for persons 18 and above; we do not knowingly process children’s data.
Governing law and jurisdiction. This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.
Changes. Material changes to this policy will be notified in-app before they take effect.
